HELP ME SUPPORT OTHER CANCER SURVIVORS AND HONOR CAREGIVERS EVERYWHERE!
On September 17th I will be walking 6 miles through upper Manhattan to raise much needed funds to support holistic wellness programs for cancer survivors, and in celebration of 6 years of health after finishing chemo on September 20th, 2011. My hike will be dedicated to my mother, Seong-Leng Ko, who has spent her entire life committed to holistic health as an acupuncturist and who saw me through one of the scariest moments of my life with strength, optimism and resourcefulness. I would also like to take this opportunity to honor ALL family and friends, health practitioners, caregivers and organizations who are so fundamental to healthy survival. Below is a partial list of those who were important for my own recovery.
All proceeds will go towards supporting Moving For Life wellness programs in NYC's underserved communities. It has been such an honor and blessing to be working with this wonderful organization and its many compassionate teachers, co-workers, interns, volunteers, founders, board members, students and partners.
Just $20 from 50 individuals will allow me to reach my goal of $1,000!
