"Over hills and dales you help people enjoy the trails. I look forward to enjoying the hike with you this year!"
I began Moving For Life in honor of having TOO MANY friends with breast cancer, just after my mother, the Rev. Dr. Margaret Ruth Eddy, had died from colon cancer. Mom was an academic, spiritual leader and community educator, AND she loved to dance and travel. Today I dance and travel with Moving For Life in dozens of cities around the world bringing the joy of movement to experts and novices alike. Join me in empowering people of all walks of life to take an active part in their healthful aging and in recovery from and prevention of cancer. I designed our original Moving For Life DanceExercise programs specifically with survivors' needs in mind, working closely with SHARE CancerSupport, Gilda's Clubs and some of NYC's finest hospitals. I am touched that many people without cancer have also chosen to join in our classes in libraries and community centers. Hats off to each person who has become involved with our fundraising efforts. We have lots of neighborhoods waiting for our classes. I hope you will join us in walking, dancing and/or being generous with your dollars too! $60 from 83 supporters meets my goal for MOVING FOR LIFE!
