About Diana Domoracki-Kisto (1953-2013)
Diana, a K-12 dance educator with the NYC schools for 26 years, spread the love of dance to thousands of teenagers throughout New York and Staten Island. She mentored hundreds of K-12 dance teachers in NYC and New Jersey, nationally through NDEO (National Dance Education Organization) and internationally through her Fulbright work. She was a master to observe amidst the swirl of secondary-school energy in some of NYC's toughest neighborhoods. While going through treatment for a rare appendicular cancer, Diana led Moving For Life classes near her home in Staten Island in the last phase of her life. In honor of this amazing woman, and in an effort to continue her legacy, we have recently established the Diana Fund to provide MFL teacher training and programming in Staten Island.
